Uniliga Winter Finals in League of Legends and Rocket League set to rock DreamHack Leipzig

Since the start of the winter semester, university teams from all over Germany have been battling it out to see who will be the new Uniliga champion in both highly competitive League of Legends and Rocket League tournaments. Finalists will face each other on January 25, 2020, for the final battle of the Uniliga Winter Finals on the DreamHack Leipzig Main Stage for prizes worth €12,000.

There are 19 university teams from all over Germany who have qualified for the first round of the League of Legends winter season 2019/2020. The top two teams will travel to the grand final at DreamHack Leipzig, where they will be able to show off all their talent while competing in a professional environment. The favorite of the current season so far is the two-time title winner KIT SC White from Karlsruhe, who have already won the summer season's final of the University Championship. Also seen as favorites for the title in the winter season are their former opponent Bremen Rolandoni. Whether the two teams will face each other again for the third time in an offline final or not remains to be seen.

Visitors to Dreamhack Leipzig and audiences worldwide can follow the Best of 5 style final matches in League of Legends between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. on January 25, 2020. Afterward, the competitors will start the Best of 7-Matches in Rocket League, which takes place from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. An MVP Award will also be presented for the first time in the history of the Uniliga, in cooperation with an exclusive sponsor.
