DreamHack Leipzig 2017: LAN tickets go on sale on 13 September

When DreamHack Leipzig enters its second round from 13 to 15 January 2017, gamers from throughout Europe can expect a three-day-long spectacle which includes Germany's largest LAN party, exciting e-sports tournaments and the DreamExpo exhibition. After advance sale of visitor tickets began last month, tickets for the LAN area will go on sale at 1.37 pm on Tuesday 13 September 2016. With 50 additional spaces (totalling 1,500) and numerous optimisations, the LAN party will surpass itself in the coming year. Three different ticket categories will once again be available.

As with the première of DreamHack Leipzig, in 2017 LAN players will once again be able to play with and against one another for 56 hours straight. Thanks to the feedback from this year's participants, gamers can expect some innovations and improvements. For example, the LAN area will be moved into its own hall so that gamers can celebrate a three-day LAN party away from the hustle and bustle of the big stages. Fixed tournaments requiring pre-registration will be held, and a local server will be provided. There will also be spaces for guest servers. At the new LAN bar, gamers can enjoy a time-out and talk with other participants. The ticket price will this year for the first time include a travel ticket for the MDV transport network, allowing participants to travel to and from the venue for free within the greater Leipzig-Halle area.

Access to the LAN area is restricted to people aged 18 and above, and there are three ticket categories available. Along with your own LAN seat, the "Lan Seat" ticket for €89 provides you with access to all areas of DreamHack Leipzig and allows you to use the Relax Zone and showers in the hall. The "LAN Seat+" ticket for €119 additionally included WiFi access, a parking space by the hall and faster registration at the entrance via the fast lane.

The "LAN seat XMG" ticket, which is strictly limited to 100 tickets, promises the ultimate in gaming luxury, as almost everything is taken care of with this category. The ticket includes all the benefits of the other categories. In addition, you will be provided with the use of an XMG SECTOR² gaming PC featuring the latest high-end specs, including all the necessary peripherals, a monitor, and a comfy gaming chair. Gamers with the "LAN seat XMG" ticket will also have twice the table space at their disposal. This ticket costs €249.

Germany's biggest LAN party is just one of the many highlights at DreamHack Leipzig. Throughout the entire duration of the festival, there will be high-class, professional e-sports tournaments being held, in which national and international teams will compete against one another. In the DreamExpo exhibition area, big industry names and innovators present their products in the categories of hardware, software, games and peripherals.

Along with the LAN party, e-sports and the DreamExpo, DreamHack Leipzig also includes a varied event programme. Prominent streamers and YouTubers will report live from the Stream Area, and numerous cosplayers will face off in a contest. The event stage will feature show acts, and on the second day will host its own tournament. At the DreamStore by Media Markt, visitors can look forward to the latest hardware and software at greatly discounted prices.

The tournament area, DreamExpo and event programme will be expanded in the coming year and together fill an entire hall. Visitors can choose between day tickets and event tickets. Both ticket types are already on sale, and include free travel on the MDV public transport system. The minimum age for attending DreamHack Leipzig is 16.
