    DreamHack Leipzig 2020 Testimonials

Three days of gaming, festivities, and events: DreamHack Leipzig 2020 had welcomed 23,300 visitors by the time it closed Sunday evening. Now in its fifth year, the gaming festival has once again made a qualitative and quantitative leap. It attracted even more gamers than last year and that for the fourth year in a row. Visitors enjoyed a packed program consisting of eight esports tournaments, high-tech products, Germany's largest LAN party and all kinds of gaming-related events. "DreamHack Leipzig 2020 has won the hearts of its visitors with a fantastic lineup. Gamers from all over Germany came to see spectacular esports and a three-day marathon of events packed with highlights. Together with its partners XMG and AB, Leipziger Messe has once again proven its ability to send ripples of enthusiasm out into the gaming community with DreamHack Leipzig. We can already hardly wait for next year," says Markus Geisenberger, Managing Director of Leipziger Messe.

    First-class Gaming-Festival

We are happy to have kicked off the year 2020 with another great installment of DreamHack Leipzig. This year's festival captivated everyone with an excellent program and outstanding Esports tournaments, including the DreamLeague Season 13 and the DreamHack Open. Thanks to an outstanding collaboration with our partners Leipziger Messe and XMG, DreamHack Leipzig is a gaming festival in a class of its own and we're really excited for next year.

    • Marcus Lindmark, co-CEO of DreamHack AB

Great Reception for the Clash Of Nations

As co-organizers, we are particularly proud to have been able to inspire visitors at this year's DreamHack Leipzig with such high-caliber Esports tournaments. We are pleased that in addition to the DreamLeague and the DreamHack Open with international star gamers, the amateur tournament Clash of Nations, which we organized together with Ubisoft, was so well received that we were able to present our newest gaming laptops at this event.

    • Robert Schenker, CEO Schenker Technologies/XMG

    Unbelievable Atmosphere and Enthusiasm

The DreamHack Leipzig has an outstanding reputation and has been synonymous with extraordinary and intensive live events in the diverse spectrum of video games for years. So it was a logical step for us to hold the final of the first regional Rainbow Six Siege tournament series on this stage. The atmosphere and the guests' enthusiasm at the Clash of Nations was unbelievable and we are very proud to have staged a tournament of this scale for the GSA region. We would of course also like to thank all participants and our partners and we are looking forward to bringing the local Rainbow Six-E-sport closer to fans in 2020.

    • Ralf Wirsing, CEO Ubisoft Germany, Austria and Switzerland

Exhibitors From Day One and Coming Back Next Year

We were there as exhibitors when DreamHack Leipzig opened its doors for the first time back in 2016. Beginning with just 40 square meters, we have since more than tripled our exhibition area. Our decision to become a sponsor of the LAN was also a decisive step in the right direction, as it provides us with direct feedback on our products. This of course also allows us to quickly dive into technical discussions or to provide specific advice on hardware setup. We generally find exactly our target audience here and we do not want to do without this invaluable source of exchange. DreamHack Leipzig is and remains for us a crucial element in successfully positioning ourselves in the market. We will definitely be back next year.

Here We Hit 100% of the Target Group for our Gaming Brand

We were truly and positively surprised by our first visit to DreamHack Leipzig. We encountered a smart audience, who knew their stuff and wanted specific information about our products. This means that we met 100 percent of the target group we want for our gaming brand. The array of new developments we brought with us for example enabled us to gather valuable feedback for our Ultra Gear Gaming Monitors. We also got very helpful feedback for the LG "Gram" Lightweight Notebook, not yet even on the market, allowing us to refine it even further based on feedback from the scene. Our idea to involve the Eintracht Frankfurt eSports Team also worked for us. Visitors were able to compete against professionals, which consistently brought the crowds to our stand. And quite honestly, Expo is simply a lot of fun that way.

    Lots of Units Sold

It was both a great opportunity and a challenge to make an appearance here as a shop. As the decision to attend was made at short notice we had lots to do beforehand, but we were not disappointed by our cooperation with the project team. We hit the ground running at DreamHack Leipzig on Friday and were quickly rewarded for our efforts. Just half an hour after opening, customers were already lining up at our counters - and it didn't stop for a moment. Guests ranged from hardware nerds to impulse buyers, eSports teams and of course all sorts of gamers. Our service station was especially well received by the LAN players, whose hardware broke down under such continuous stress. All in all, we were able to sell a large number of units and were super satisfied with the result.

We Encountered the eSport Audience We Had Hoped For

The turnout at DreamHack Leipzig fulfilled all of our expectations. Through close cooperation with DreamLegue and the associated Major Dota 2 we have close ties to the eSports scene, whom we also met in Leipzig. Our software helps team players in tournaments, among others, to analyze their gameplay. Lots of the other visitors to our stand found our many evaluation methods and processing capabilities interesting, informing themselves or engaging in lengthy conversations with us. There was always something going on, and it didn't let up. The scale of the event was also beneficial to our employer branding. We are not ruling out a return visit next year.

    • Melvin Metzger, eSports Developer / SAP

DreamHack Leipzig was the Right Decision

The goal at Dreamhack Leipzig was to promote the Farming Simulator and the associated eSport Community and League. Just seeing the number of people who stopped at our area, curious and excited about what we do demonstrated to us that we made the right decision. Both the general atmosphere and the audience were very friendly. It quickly became clear that most of it had to do with eSports, of course a passion we also share. Besides that, DreamHack is DreamHack, it is something you have to experience.

    • Lars Malcharek, eSports Coordinator / GIANTS Software

Putting Game Developers in the Spotlight

The Project Indie Arena Booth at DreamHack Leipzig offers a wonderful opportunity to showcase different games and developers. We felt very welcome as part of the project itself as well as at our collective stand, and with our second year in Leipzig we detected a tangible interest in indie. This enabled us to promote the strengthening of the region at the same time bringing us very close to our audience, who in turn benefit from direct contact with the developers, establishing an exchange that benefits both sides. The community we encounter in Leipzig is an important contact point for us to further promote the scene in Central Germany.

    • Valentina Birke, Head of Project Indie Arena Booth / Super Crowd Entertainment GmbH

    Successfully Positioned in the Market

As one of DreamHack Leipzig's pioneers, we are proud to have helped establish this event in Germany right from the start. The increasing relevance and successful positioning of the event in the market is clearly evident. The hosting of the huge Dota 2 tournament is direct proof of this. Thanks to this development, we too have been able to expand in recent years to offer visitors even more entertainment. For example, we showed off the latest graphics cards with RTX technology while visitor events were running on stage and gaming stations were running at full throttle. This was also made possible with help from our partners iiyama, Noblechairs, and Steelseries. We would also like to take this opportunity to thank Leipziger Messe for ensuring smooth cooperation. DreamHack Leipzig is a great kick-off to the year, due to the special community we meet on site. We hope to continue this for many years to come.

    We'll Be Back Next Year

Gamers are the most important group targeted by our brand. A LAN of this size is unrivaled in Germany and brings precisely this target audience to us. However the integration of eSports also offers added value - especially now that Counter Strike is back. We also cooperated with Dota and were delighted that this special event could be held here. Our own streaming area also enabled us to hit the multipliers once again. We will definitely be back again next year.

    • Gabriel Halbscheffel, Local Marketing Manager / Monster Energy Europe Lmtd

Up Close and Personal with Case Modders

Dreamhack Leipzig has again proven to be a dream home for the DCMM and the modding community. From our perspective, the number of visitors even exceeded that at our first appearance last year. It is especially gratifying to see the extraordinary enthusiasm of gamers for creations by modders, who received a lot of recognition and praise. A glance over the range of LAN participants quickly revealed the ever closer link between gaming and case modding. The two newly introduced interactive stations, where Dreamhack visitors could themselves modify cases and Cherry keyboards on site, were correspondingly very well received. We are sure to be back at Dreamhack Leipzig in 2021.

    • Michael Wegner, CEO of Business Development / planetlan GmbH

Magnificent Kick-off to a New Year of eSports

This year's Dreamhack Leipzig was also the perfect venue for the final of the ESBD club league. The champions from Gera and Berlin showed just how great eSport from the various regions can be. Dreamhack Leipzig is a great start to a new year of eSports, and Leipziger Messe is a solid partner.
