DreamHack Leipzig – Home Edition: A Gaming Festival At Home
It's back to the roots from January 22 to 24 2021, as DreamHack Leipzig - Home Edition encourages all gamers to enjoy the festival from the comfort of their homes. Over three days, people will be playing with and against one other online – for fame, honor and attractive non-cash prizes. DreamHack Leipzig is organizing various tournaments for the community's favorite games. In addition, attendees can expect exciting live streams showing the finals of the ESBD Club Cup and the Uniliga, as well as the Clip of the Year award ceremony. Powered by Caseking, the DreamStore will be featuring exclusive hardware deals with discounted prices throughout the weekend. The online tournaments at DreamHack Leipzig – Home Edition have something for everyone: Many of the most popular titles from the last DreamHack Leipzig LAN Party have already been confirmed: from CS:GO in 5v5 and 2v2 mode and League of Legends to Rocket League (3v3 and 2v2) and Overwatch to FIFA and Rainbow Six Siege. Legends of Runeterra is a new addition to the line-up. You need a tournament ticket to participate in the tournaments. These can be booked via the Dreamhack Leipzig online ticket shop for only €5 starting on January 7th, 2021. Separate from the tournament ticket, LvL Berlin will also be organizing a free tournament for shooter Valorant as part of DreamHack Leipzig – Home Edition. Age restrictions from the games' respective USK ratings apply. All live stream events are also freely accessible without a ticket. There are more highlights in the works – including those from XMG, partner and co-organizer of the gaming festival.
The Dreamstore, powered by Caseking, will once again be accompanying the gaming festival with a range of special online offers. There will be great hardware deals on monitors, cases, peripherals and more throughout the weekend – exclusively for members of the DreamHack Leipzig Discord Server. "Clip of the Year" Awards for the First Time at DreamHack Leipzig
DreamHack Leipzig – Home Edition also features a premiere: the "Clip of the Year" will be awarded for the first time at this year's gaming festival. The most epic in-game moment, the most creative art project or the most impressive real-life action – video clips submitted to the "Clip of the Year" competition from the Twitch live program will be recognized in a total of eight categories. The award show will be embedded as a live stream in the online program of DreamHack Leipzig – Home Edition and broadcast on the evening of January 23, 2020. The "Clip of the Year" was launched in 2016 by Düsseldorf-based influencer "Falballa" and has since been held annually. Since 2018, the award ceremony has been hosted in cooperation with NerdStarTV
eSport Bund Deutschland and Uniliga: Exciting Livetreamed Finals
The eSport Bund Deutschland (ESBD) and Uniliga will also be participating in DreamHack Leipzig – Home Edition. The ESBD Club Cup matches, with leagues that started in September, will culminate in a furious final of four titles at the end of January. The winners of CS:GO will be decided on January 23, with Magdeburg eSports, TSV Hamelspringe, Munich eSports and 404 Multigaming still in the running. The Rocket League final between Bremen eSports and TSV Burgdorf will be held on the same day. The latter also remains in contention to win the StarCraft 2 tournament, the finals of which will be held on January 24. The final of the League of Legends tournament, which runs throughout January, will also take place on the same day. The Uniliga League of Legends Winter Season 2020 finals will be held on January 23. Playoffs on January 4, 5 and 8, 2021 will decide which teams make it to the finals. Finals of the ESBD and the Uniliga promise the familiar first-class amateur esport event.
ESB eSport.Business.Forum – Corona as an Opportunity for Esports?
Corona is boosting the gaming industry and eSports to establish themselves. But has eSport really been the winner of the crisis? This question will be addressed at the eSport.Business.Forum 2021, taking place entirely digitally on January 22, 2021. The program will focus on exciting exchanges to the state of the esports industry made in Germany, new sponsorship/sales channels, and relevant owned channels.
