The LAN area at DreamHack Leipzig is being expanded after a surge in demand for tickets
Germany’s biggest LAN party has been celebrated at DreamHack Leipzig since 2016 – and it never stops growing. Whereas there were only 1,000 seats available at the première event, the area was relocated into its own hall last year and expanded to provide 1,500 seats. Two months before the start of DreamHack Leipzig 2018, the original consignment of 1,500 tickets has already sold out. Due to this great demand, the LAN area is now being expanded. Additional rows of seating will be released one after the other in the ticket shop. Depending on demand, the LAN party at DreamHack Leipzig 2018 can be increased up to 2,000 seats.
“We are very pleased that Germany’s biggest LAN party will be even bigger than planned this year – that’s a huge success! This shows how important DreamHack Leipzig is to the community. Exciting tournaments, some of whose final games will even be integrated into the event stage’s programme, await the LAN participants”, said Stephanie Scholz, Project Director at DreamHack Leipzig.
Two ticket categories are available for LAN participants. Along with your own LAN seat, the “Lan Seat” ticket for €99.00 provides you with access to all areas of DreamHack Leipzig and allows you to use the Relax Zone and showers in the hall. The “LAN Seat+” ticket for €129.00 additionally includes speedier WiFi access, a parking space by the hall and faster registration at the entrance via the fast lane.
The “LAN Seat XMG” ticket for €299.00, which is strictly limited to 100 tickets and includes a fully equipped seat with hardware, peripherals and a gaming chair as well as all the benefits of the other categories, has already sold out. The LAN area is open to people aged 18 and over.
There is no limit on the number of regular festival tickets, which entitle the purchaser to visit the DreamExpo exhibition area and e-sports tournaments.
